Ring Ceremony

Student group photo Each Fall and Spring semester since since 2007, the Alumni Association hosts the Official Ring Presentation Ceremony. Invited to attend are those students who have completed 60 hours of coursework and who purchased a class ring.

With University administrators present, students are presented with their official class rings. The ceremony begins with congratulatory remarks from university and alumni officials. Following information regarding the symbols on the ring, students each receive their rings individually on stage. The event concludes with the singing of the Alma Mater, Glory to the Green and White.

After a victory by a UNT athletic team, it is tradition for special green floodlights to illuminate the Administration Building clock tower to signal the victory to the campus and the community. In conjunction with the ring presentation ceremony, the clock tower will be illuminated in green in celebration of each students’ academic victory.
